Today I got to work out with my trainer for the first time in 3 months (kids are back in school now). Even though I workout in my home-made gym 5 days a week, I love working with Trish!
She empowers me to push harder than if I was alone, and comes up with creative ways to hit the muscles that I work on with at home.
This woman is a great role model. She is a 50 plus woman who looks like she has a body of a 20 year old. She has great advice for me to keep me on track with positive body image messages and motivation. She gives me great ideas and helps me in ways that she cannot know. I’m SO LUCKY!
8/20/10 - Friday Workout:
walk on the street- 2 miles, 26 minutes
strength train- trainer
shoulder raise- 1 yellow tube
ab crunches -2 blue tubes
chest press- 20 lb
triceps extention, standing- 2 red tubes
rear leg kicks 55 lb
deadlift- 45 lb bar
step up with Arnold push- 8 lb barbell
8/20/10- Friday Food Diary:
Breakfast-
1/2 cup egg whites, 1 cup spinach, 1/2 cup spaghetti squash, 2 asparagus (118 cal)
A.M. Snack-
apple(57 cal)
Lunch-
1/4 cup brown rice(120 cal)
veggies (30 cal)
1/3 cup spaghetti squash (20 cal)
P.M. Snack-
whole wheat tortilla, 8 thin sliced apple pieces, 15 dark chocolate bits, melted (105 cal)
Dinner- restaurant
squash/hazelnut salad with vinaigrette (200 cal)
4.5 oz veal chop with hericot verte (300 cal)
2 wine ( 200 cal)
Dessert:
carrot cake (300 cal)
TOTAL CALORIES- 1450
